Acceptable Use Policy

1.Purpose

Clients may use Secure-Setu only for legitimate business purposes, including:

  • Customer onboarding (KYC)

  • Regulatory compliance
  • Fraud prevention
  • Business process automation

All API requests must have a valid legal and business purpose.

3.Prohibited Activities

You must NOT use Secure-Setu to:

Illegal Activities

  • Violate any applicable law or regulation.
  • Facilitate fraud, identity theft, or financial crime.
  • Process information without legal authorization.
  • Engage in money laundering or other unlawful activities.

Unauthorized Access

You must not:

  • Attempt to gain unauthorized access to Secure-Setu systems.
  • Bypass authentication or security controls.
  • Use stolen or compromised credentials.
  • Access another client's account or data.

API Abuse

Clients must not:

  • Send excessive or abusive API requests.
  • Attempt to overload or disrupt the platform.
  • Circumvent API rate limits.
  • Perform denial-of-service (DoS) or distributed denial-of-service (DDoS) attacks.
  • Use automated tools to exploit platform vulnerabilities.

Reverse Engineering

You must not:

  • Reverse engineer Secure-Setu software.
  • Copy, modify, or reproduce APIs or documentation without authorization.
  • Attempt to discover proprietary implementation details.
  • Build competing services using unauthorized access.

Credential Misuse

Clients must not:

  • Share API Keys or API Secrets publicly.
  • Embed credentials in publicly accessible source code.
  • Allow unauthorized third parties to use their account.
  • Sell, rent, or transfer API credentials.

Fraudulent Requests

Clients must not submit:

  • Fake identities
  • Fabricated customer information
  • Unauthorized verification requests
  • Requests without required user consent
  • Requests intended to deceive or manipulate verification outcomes

4.Data Privacy & Consent

Clients are responsible for ensuring they have:

  • The legal authority to process personal information.
  • Required customer consent where applicable.
  • Compliance with applicable privacy and data protection laws.

Secure-Setu may suspend services if misuse of personal information is detected.

5.API Rate Limits

Secure-Setu enforces API rate limits to ensure platform stability.

Clients must not attempt to:

  • Circumvent rate limits.
  • Create multiple accounts to bypass restrictions.
  • Abuse concurrent connections.
  • Generate unnecessary API traffic.

Rate limits may vary based on the selected service plan.

6.Security Requirements

Clients should:

  • Protect login credentials.
  • Protect API Keys and Secrets.
  • Rotate credentials periodically.
  • Use HTTPS for all API requests.
  • Restrict API access using IP Whitelisting where possible.
  • Promptly report suspected security incidents.

7.Monitoring & Enforcement

Secure-Setu reserves the right to monitor platform usage for:

  • Security
  • Fraud prevention
  • Performance optimization
  • Regulatory compliance
  • Abuse detection

Monitoring may include API logs, authentication events, and system activity.

8.Suspension of Services

Secure-Setu may suspend or restrict access immediately if:

  • This AUP is violated.
  • Fraudulent activity is detected.
  • Security risks are identified.
  • Required legal documentation is not provided.
  • Payment obligations are not fulfilled.

In serious cases, accounts may be permanently terminated.

9.Reporting Abuse

If you become aware of any misuse of Secure-Setu, please report it immediately.

10.Consequences of Violation

Secure-Setu may update this Acceptable Use Policy from time to time.

The latest version will always be available on our website. Continued use of the Platform after changes become effective constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.

13.Governing Law

This Acceptable Use Policy shall be governed by the laws of India.
